MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
Built with Purposeful Trail Materials
RidgeGuard combines a lightweight upper with a more abrasion-resistant lower section. Each component serves a different role, from covering the lower leg to helping keep the gaiters in place over hiking boots.
🌲 70D PU-Coated Ripstop Nylon Upper
The upper section uses 70D ripstop nylon fabric with a polyurethane (PU) coating. Its lightweight woven construction is designed to resist tearing and help shed light moisture during ordinary trail use. The ripstop structure helps limit the spread of small tears, while the green finish complements outdoor clothing and equipment.
Material: 70D ripstop nylon with PU coating.
🪨 600D Polyester Reinforced Lower Panel
The black lower section is constructed from 600D polyester fabric to provide a more abrasion-resistant surface around the boots and lower legs. This reinforced area is intended for contact with trail vegetation, loose gravel, and everyday outdoor wear.
Material: 600D polyester fabric.
🔗 Full-Length Hook-and-Loop Front Closure
A full-length hook-and-loop fastening strip runs along the front of each gaiter. It allows the gaiter to open for easier fitting over hiking footwear and close securely around the lower leg. The long fastening area also makes routine adjustments convenient.
Closure: Hook-and-loop fastening strip.
⚙️ Adjustable Drawcord & Polymer Cord Buckle
The top opening features an adjustable drawcord and polymer cord buckle. Tighten the opening to help reduce gaps around the lower leg, then adjust it to suit your clothing and fit preferences. Avoid overtightening, which can make walking uncomfortable.
Components: Drawcord and polymer cord buckle.
🥾 TPU-Coated Adjustable Underfoot Strap
Each gaiter includes an adjustable underfoot strap with a TPU-coated surface. The strap passes beneath the boot and connects to the gaiter to help keep the lower edge in place during walking. Adjust the strap for a secure fit and inspect it periodically for wear.
Material: TPU-coated underfoot strap.
Coverage for Changing Trail Conditions
The gaiters wrap around the lower legs and extend over the upper portion of your boots. The adjustable top opening helps reduce gaps, the front fastening keeps the gaiter closed, and the underfoot strap helps hold the bottom edge in position.
- Helps keep loose grit, dust, and small trail debris out of footwear.
- Helps shield socks and lower pant legs from light moisture and trail vegetation.
- Provides an extra layer between your lower legs and brush or rough trail surroundings.
- Suitable for routine hiking, trekking, and camping use in varied outdoor conditions.
RidgeGuard is designed for trail coverage and debris protection; it is not a substitute for waterproof boots or fully waterproof protective equipment.
SIZE & DIMENSIONS
Mid-Calf Coverage with an Adjustable Fit
The RidgeGuard gaiters have an approximate height of 14 inches. The adjustable top drawcord, front closure, and underfoot strap allow you to customize the fit around compatible hiking footwear and lower-leg clothing.

📏 Choosing Your Size
Available in S, M, L, and XL. For the best fit, consider your calf circumference, boot height, and the thickness of the pants you plan to wear underneath. The 14-inch measurement refers to approximate gaiter height, not calf circumference. The top drawcord and underfoot strap provide adjustment, but the selected size should still be compatible with your footwear and leg measurements.
